TBB Asks…..And I Answered~November

Things I’m Thankful For:

1. A New Friend~

Someone I have known for awhile, who has fairly recently become a friend rather than just an acquaintance.

2. Something Shiny~

All the Christmas lights starting to show up around town. Which means Christmas is coming soon!

3. Someone Unexpected~

My brother, who always shows up unexpectedly but we always have a great time together.

4. Something Ordinary~

The normal every day moments. I was at a Remembrance Day assembly at my son’s school this morning and it reminded me of how lucky we are to be free to enjoy those normal everyday moment without living in fear or war and how thankful I am to the soldiers who fought for our freedoms.

(Remembrance Day (sometimes known informally as Poppy Day) is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth of Nations member states since the end of the First World War to remember the members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty. ~ Source: Wikepedia).

5. A Person You Have Known A Long Time~

I would have to say my friend Erin. She is an amazing coach, a wonderful friend and is someone who I often look up to as a woman who wears many hats and who always seems to be able to get things done.

6. Somewhere You Go Every Day~

I am so thankful for our home. As we go into these colder months, I can’t help but think of how lucky we are to have a home that is comfortable and in a safe location.

7. Someone Who Has Taught You Something~

My parents. who taught me to work hard, be kind and to be respectful to all people.

8. A Far Away Place~

Switzerland. As some of you may know, and probably most of you don’t, I lived in Switzerland for almost a year and I am so thankful for that experience, and to the family I lived with there, who took the chance on a young Canadian girl to come over and be their AuPair.

9. Something that is Saving Your Life Right Now~

That would have to be my planner! It is jammed full of work schedules, school schedules, kids activities and appointments, etc etc…

10. Someone You See Every Day~

My dear husband who is such a hardworking man and who loves being around people and teaching our kids new skills.

11. Something You Enjoy Doing~

Blogging! I am so thankful for this blogging journey in so many ways, as a creative outlet, as a way to connect with other like-minded people….

12. Someone Female~

This is a hard one as I have so many wonderful females in my life who I am so thankful for. I do know how lucky I am to be surrounded by so many amazing females. I honestly don’t think I can pick just one! But if I had to narrow it down, I would say I am so thankful for each of my two daughters. They teach me something every day and I am so proud of them for the people they are.

So Thankful for my kids!

13. A Special Place~

My office/craft room. This is the first time I have ever had an office/craft room that is all my own. Somewhere I can be crafty or productive, I can keep the door open and still be social or I can close it and have peace and quiet!

14. Someone Male~

Again, this is a hard one as I am so fortunate to have many fantastic males in my life! But again, narrowing it down, I would have to say my son, who makes me laugh almost every day and also teaches me so much.

15. Something Warm~

Our wood stove! I am so thankful for the warmth it gives to our whole home. There is no better heat during a Canadian winter, than a cozy wood stove. (you can read more about when we got our stove here: Getting All Cozy in our Canadian Home.)
