Currently ~ April 2018

Welcome to my April edition of Currently! Don’t know what Currently is? It is where I share what is “currently” happening in our lives using 5 curated prompts by Anne in Residence.

Showering~ my homestead with love by doing some spring cleaning! I tried to start that in March when my kids were on spring break but gosh darn that time went quick and almost every single day we had something going on outside the homestead.

Cultivating~ our garden, Finally!! This has been a super loooooong winter and there is still snow on the ground as I write this, but, it will melt and then I will be in the garden. I need to start cleaning it up, organizing and fixing up what needs to be fixed.

Expecting~ a quiet Birthday. That’s right my birthday is in April! This year my middle child Cadence and I are going to be away for a synchro competition (synchronized swimming) so I expect I will be sitting beside a pool watching a lot of swimming. But that is ok! I am looking forward to a fairly quiet birthday this year.

Buying~ Seeds and plants! I have quite a few seed packets leftover from previous years but there are always some that are needed to be bought fresh. I am so looking forward to getting my hanging baskets and annuals going as well.

Cooking~ Leftover turkey recipes. I cooked up a turkey on Monday that needed to be used up so we have been enjoying turkey sandwiches. Today will be the day of doing a few turkey meals like turkey pot pie, turkey soup, maybe some turkey chili etc etc.

  1. As long as I get cake and/or ice cream, a quiet birthday is totally fine by me… hope you enjoy yours. Thanks for joining in again this month!
