5 TED talks that have changed my life.

Have you ever watched or listened to something that changed your life? Like, from that day forward, you have that in the back of your mind and you continually make changes to your life in order to live a slightly different way?

Or maybe it is something that you have always felt and you thought it was only you, then someone comes along and says exactly what you have been feeling or thinking?

That is exactly what these 5 TED talks have done in my life and I wanted to share them with you.

This first video is one that I saw just a few weeks ago. I remember scrolling through Facebook and I think a friend shared it and just the title alone was intriguing enough for me to click to watch.

This is exactly how I have felt my entire life! This is why my blog is called Just Dabbling Along! Because I love to learn and dabble and try new things and I love sharing them with you. I never felt a “calling” to do one thing for the rest of my life (ok except maybe to be a mother, but career-wise, no) and for a long time I felt that was a bad thing.

But, I realized it is a very good thing because I am not afraid to try anything new and I am not afraid of change. This is part of the reason I blog about homesteading and travelling, because they allow me to explore and learn and try so many different things.

Coincidentally or not, one of the interests I have stuck to for the longest amount of time is blogging (did you know I’ve had several blogs prior to this one?).

I have had an interest in Permaculture for a few years now and I really love the way that Geoff Lawton explains things both in this TED talk and also in his Youtube videos. ( I shared more on this in 5 Best Free Films about Gardening, Farming and Permaculture )

Who hasn’t heard of Joel Salatin? I remember the very first time I saw him was in [easyazon_link identifier=”B002UZ5CHO” locale=”US” tag=”jstdabalong-20″]Food Inc.[/easyazon_link]. His thoughts on food and farming have been revolutionary.

You can also check out some of my 10 Inspirational Joel Salatin Quotes on Farming and Food.

These next two talks are more personal and have to say more about bettering one’s self.

Have you heard of Zero waste? [easyazon_link identifier=”1451697686″ locale=”US” tag=”jstdabalong-20″]How about the Zero Waste Home[/easyazon_link]?

I recently did a book review on the Zero Waste Home by Bea Johnson, which you can check out by clicking the link.

And last, but not least, my dear Madame Chic 😉

More about my experiences with Madame Chic in this post.

I hope you have enjoyed these TED talks that I’ve shared. Let me know what you think in the comments!
